Pure Foods was founded with the vision to provide highly nutritious and delicious meals for those who face challenges with eating solid food.
They wanted to create a wide range of flavours and options with visual appeal. The current food options in the market were bland and lacking in both colour and nutritional value due to the harsh manufacturing processes.
Once Pure Foods perfected their unique, nutrient preserving manufacturing technique, they were ready to go to market – however, they needed packaging.
Given their position as a start up, their volume requirements were originally low, however quality and barrier performance could not be compromised.
Working closely with Sam, we developed a generic pouch which worked the vibrant colours of the food, using them as a visual element within the design.
Two pouches were manufactured in small volumes allowing for single serve sachet and a larger serving stand up pouch.
Their requirements also shifted to require lidding films, again, in small volumes.
We worked a solution using digital print to get them started with their range of lidding films, later transferring seamlessly to gravure printed films as their volumes grew.
